Horthy Statue to be Unveiled in Parliament

Far-right party Mi Hazánk (Our Homeland) is set to unveil a statue of Regent Miklós Horthy in the Parliament on Tuesday morning, news site Telex.hu reports.
Citing a press release sent by the party, Telex.hu writes that Mi Hazánk has timed the unveiling of the statue to coincide with the 82nd anniversary of the Second Vienna Award (August 30).
The statue of Horthy will be erected by the radical party in the office of Dóra Dúró, a Mi Hazánk MP, who also serves as the deputy speaker of the National Assembly.
Horthy, one of the most controversial figures in Hungary's history, served as the regent of the Kingdom of Hungary from March 1, 1920, to October 15, 1944.
