Slovenia Consumer Confidence Slightly Falls in February

Slovenia's consumer confidence indicator decreased by 1 percentage point (pp) on a monthly comparison basis in February, after growing by 3 pp in the preceding month, according to a survey from the Ljubljana-based Statistics Bureau of Slovenia (SURS).

In annual terms, consumer confidence increased by 5 pp in February, the statistical office said in a statement posted on its website. The monthly decrease in the confidence indicator resulted from more pessimistic consumer expectations about the country's economy, down 2 pp, about households' finances, down 2 pp, and about major purchases, down 1 pp.

Expectations about current households' finances and for major purchases grew by 7 pp on an annual level each, about households' finances they expanded by 6 pp, while about the country's economy they worsened by 1 percentage point.
