Nearly 100,000 New Home Insurance Policies Signed During Campaign

Hungarian homeowners have signed almost 100,000 new home insurance policies in the first half of a month-long campaign, National Bank of Hungary (MNB) deputy governor Csaba Kandrács said on Wednesday.
Homeowners also renegotiated more than 60,000 policies with their existing insurers, Kandrács said.
During the month of March, home policyholders may switch their insurers without penalty in a campaign initiated to encourage homeowners to take advantage of increased competition on the market.
Kandrács said as many as 200,000 policyholders could renegotiate their policies or sign new ones by the end of the month.
