MNB Fines Interactive Brokers Central Europe HUF 19 mln

The National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Thursday said it fined Interactive Brokers Central Europe HUF 19 mln over shortcomings affecting customer due diligence, complaint management, IT, the prevention of money laundering, outsourcing, and the right to dispose over the company's accounts, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

MNB said the measures do not affect the investment service provider's reliable operation.

MNB set deadlines for Interactive Brokers CE to correct the shortcomings and imposed a market oversight fine of HUF 11.3 mln and a money laundering oversight fine of HUF 7.7 mln on the company.
