Hungary Looks to Bulgaria to Boost Gas Transit Delivery Capacity

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev offered assurances that Hungary could count on Bulgaria to boost transit delivery capacity for gas that Hungary plans to buy from Azerbaijan and Turkey on a phone call with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó on Wednesday, according to a report by news agency MTI.
"As we plan to buy more gas from Azerbaijan and Turkey, we'll have an even greater need for transit delivery capacity via Bulgaria," the minister said in a post on Facebook
"President Radev] offered assurances that we can count on Bulgaria on this matter," Szijjártó added.
He acknowledged Radev's "key role" in developing ties between Hungary and Bulgaria and for making Bulgaria a "dependable partner" in terms of transit delivery of gas.
