Insurers to pay HUF 2.4 bln on spring storm claims
Hungarian insurers have approved HUF 2.4 billion of payouts on claims by policyholders whose property was damaged by storms in May, the Hungarian Insurance Association (MABISZ) said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The payouts are on close to 18,000 claims, of which 60% were for damages due to hail.
Last year, insurers paid out HUF 9.1 bln on weather-related home policy claims.
