Cases of Bird Flu Detected in Eastern Hungary

Avian influenza has been identified at a turkey farm in Hajdú-Bihar County, in the east of Hungary, food safety authority Nébih said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Protection and surveillance zones were established after the virus was detected at the farm. More than 25,000 turkeys are being destroyed.
Bird flu was detected in November in Csongrád-Csanád, Bécs-Kiskun, and Békés Counties, in the south of Hungary.
