Veszprém County Home Prices Climbed 27% Last Year
Home prices in Veszprém County climbed 27% last year, faster than in any other county in Hungary, listed real estate broker Duna House said yesterday, according to portfolio.hu.
Home prices in Veszprém County reached HUF 618,000/sqm last year. The average home price climbed from HUF 44 million to HUF 52 mln.
Prices in the county were boosted by homes in settlements on the shores of Lake Balaton, Duna House chief analyst Károly Benedikt said.
Buyers in some of those settlements qualified for state home purchase subsidies targeted at families in villages, he added. Homes in the county were the priciest in Tihany (125 km southwest of Budapest), where prices rose to HUF 1.6 mln/sqm.
