Hungary Labor Market Reserve Over 300,000

Hungary's potential labor reserve reached 315,000 people in the fourth quarter, data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.

KSH defines the potential labor reserve as the unemployed, the underemployed and the inactive who intend to but do not actively look for work or do not meet availability criteria.

The fresh data show there were 219,800 jobless, 58,200 people who were inactive and wanted to work but weren't looking for a job, and 30,700 underemployed.

In addition, there were 7,100 people who were inactive and looking for work but couldn't take a position within two weeks in Q4.
