Gránit Bank to Acquire Local Leasing Businesses of De Lage Landen Int'l

Gránit Bank is acquiring the Hungarian leasing businesses of De Lage Landen International, based in the Netherlands, the lender said on Monday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The acquisition of De Lage Landen Finance Zrt. and De Lage Landen Leasing Kft. will close after clearance by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) and the Competition Office (GVH). Gránit Bank will rename the companies Gránit Pénzügyi and Gránit Lízing.

The deal will expand Gránit Bank's service offering and boost business activity, the lender said.

Gránit Bank had total assets of over HUF 1.27 trillion at the end of last year.

De Lage Landen Finance Zrt. had total assets of HUF 43.1 bln at the end of 2022, public records show. De Lage Landen Leasing Kft's balance sheet total came to HUF 11.1 bln.
