The expectations of tourism companies stagnated in February compared to a year earlier, the National Association of Tourist and Hospitality Employers (Vimosz) said, based on the latest survey conducted with the cooperation of GKI Economic Researcher, according to profitline.hu.

The Tourism Business Index stood at plus one point in February, which means that players in the sector perceive their situation as stagnant. At the same time, the data shows an improvement compared to a year earlier.

The value of the index decreased slightly, by two points in the second month of the year compared to the previous month, thus exceeding the value of a year ago by four points, Vimosz said, noting that the value of the index jumped significantly in February last year.
