Open borders debate scheduled for October 19

A public debate entitled "Open Borders: The Science and Ethics of Immigration" is being held at the Tranzit Café on October 19 from 5-7 p.m.

Prof. Bryan Caplan, a U.S. economist, and author of "Open Borders," András Kováts, director of Menedék – Hungarian Association for Migrants, and Dr. Balázs Orbán, the political director of the Prime Minister, will debate the possibilities for liberalizing border restrictions and the economic and sociological impact of immigration policy.

The debate will be moderated by Szabolcs Vörös, co-founder of Válasz Online.

The discussion will be held in English (with Hungarian translation provided for the audience as needed).
