More than 30 fashion industry brands will show their spring-summer collections at the 10th Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW) to take place between August 29 and September 4, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Zsófia Jakab, who heads the Hungarian Fashion and Design Agency (HFDA), which organises the event, said at a press conference on Thursday that the significance in the economy of the fashion and design industry within Hungary's creative industry is strengthening.

Ukrainian designers will be in the spotlight at this year's BCEFW in cooperation with Ukrainian Fashion Week, she added.

At the weekend, 15 Hungarian, two Polish, and seven Ukrainian brands will take to the catwalk in the Museum of Applied Arts, while the collections of a further seven Hungarian designers are put on display.
