Transport and logistics firm Gebrüder Weiss Hungary has decided to transform its management structure, appointing a new management team, according to a press release issued today. The new organizational setup and product management have been designed to promote the implementation of existing and fresh projects with countrywide reach, the statement added.

Within Gebrüder Weiss Kft., operating under the leadership of Managing Director Thomas Schauer, a new organizational unit has been set up under the name of Product Management. In future, the responsibilities of the road transportation product manager will fall to Csaba Iványi, the former divisional manager for road transportation, while the position of logistics solutions product manager will be occupied by Balázs Bencsics, the former divisional manager for logistic solutions.

The new organizational unit reports directly to the executive management, and the appointed managers will have countrywide responsibilities for all the Hungarian business sites (Biatorbágy, Mosonmagyaróvár, Hajdúböszörmény), providing active support to the processes of the Dunaharaszti and Győr branch sites, as well as implementation of new projects, said the press release.

Another change is the appointment of Bálint Varga as Dunaharaszti branch site manager from September 1, the press statement added. For 10 years, Varga acted as the companyʼs divisional manager for sales and marketing, a position now taken over – concurrently with the above change – by Zsolt Csiszár. Csiszár brings several years of experience in logistics, transportation and sales from his earlier workplace, where he was similarly responsible for the management of sales, the statement reads.

“With these changes, GW wishes to respond to organizational growth, increasingly massive customer demand and the consistently broadening range of products,” said Schauer.

At present, GW serves customers in Hungary on a combined operating area of 56,000 square meters, while its Dunaharaszti headquarters has 23,000 sqm of warehousing space. Other business sites in Hungary include Kecskemét and Vecsés (air and sea office).
