VS.hu: ʼIf you come to Hungaryʼ

Crops

Hungarian online daily vs.hu this week posted an interactive video on refugees arriving to Hungary, portraying the hardships they need to face when fleeing their war-torn countries in search of safety.

Commenting on the temporary wire fence the Hungarian government is currently building along the Serbian border to defend the country from the influx of “illegal immigrants”, VS.hu reports that “the physical defense of the border (or a soon-to-be-built fence) is not the biggest obstacle for refugees; it’s the rejection demonstrated by Hungarian society that grows more vehement as the issue of immigration comes more and more into focus in European and Hungarian politics.”

The Budapest Business Journal also followed the trail of refugees. For our latest report click here
