Train headed west stops near camp; refugees wonʼt get off
A train full of refugees that departed this morning from Budapest’s Keleti station for Sopron, near the Austrian border, was stopped by the Hungarian Police at Bicske, where a refugee camp is located, but refugees refused police orders to leave the train, according to reports. Police reportedly told journalists to leave the area and the standoff continued this afternoon.

Refugees at Keleti station were allowed to board trains this morning, following two days of blockades in front of the station by police. Reports suggest that refugees boarded a single train, many not knowing of the temporary measure by Hungarian State Railways (MÁV) prohibiting trains from leaving the country.
At Bicske, police reportedly told the passengers that registration at the local refugee camp was necessary, but they were not required by law to live there, according to reports. Still, refugees refuse to leave the train, and some tussled with police, news reports show.
Police told journalists to leave the area this afternoon.
