Report: Tóbiás calls Fideszʼs social policy the enemy
József Tóbiás, chairman of MSZP, called Fideszʼs social policy the enemy of poverty in reaction to Laszló L. Simonʼs comments from yesterday, Hungarian online daily origo.hu reported today.
Yesterday, during a parliamentary discussion regarding the Sunday closure law, Laszló L. Simon told Tóbiás that “if you say that there are four million poor people in this country, why do you demand the abolition of Sunday closures?”
According to Judit Czibere, sociology lecturer at the University of Debrecen, Laszlo L. Simon does not understand the problems associated with poverty.
Ferenc Dávid, secretary general at the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers, derisively told origo.hu “it was another typical L. Simon comment from a man who is a highly knowledgeable expert on the topic”.
