Report: At least 20 found dead in truck; they were probably refugees
At least 20 dead bodies were found in a truck with Hungarian license plates that was abandoned on the Austrian highway connecting Budapest and Vienna, according to reports. The victims were believed to be refugees who had passed through Hungary.

The truck was found parked near the Hungarian border, and according to reports, it contained at least 20 dead, but authorities said the total count of deceased may be as high as 50.
Cabinet Chief János Lázár, commenting on the tragedy, said today at his weekly press conference that the victims were probably smuggled from Hungary, and that “probably Hungarian perpetrators were also involved in the human trafficking action”.
Hans-Peter Doskozil, director of police in the eastern Austrian state of Burgenland, said on Austrian state TV that the partly decomposing bodies were discovered after police found the vehicle on the side of the A4 highway and opened the cargo door.
