Refugees pack trains at Keleti, but they will be stopped

The Hungarian Police disappeared from Budapest’s Keleti Railway Station and refugees have been flocking onto trains, despite the fact that Hungarian State Railways halted international lines, and no trains departing from Keleti leave Hungary, online news daily index.hu reported.

MÁV earlier announced that no trains departing from Hungary will go to Western Europe, and those passengers who want to leave the country need to transfer to lines operated by foreign railway companies at border stations in Hegyeshalom and Szob. The move effectively shifts the border control efforts out of Budapest train stations.
Index reports, that, though loudspeakers keep repeating public announcements at Keleti that no trains from the station will leave Hungary, refugees have been flocking onto trains and refuse to get off.
CNN’s breaking news reported this morning: “Migrants streamed into Budapestʼs Keleti Train Station on Thursday, breaking a deadlock with authorities outside. Trains are running, but the borders with Austria and Slovakia are closed, a rail official said, limiting where the refugees can travel.”
