Orbán: Hungary, Russia ‘preserve good relationship’
Hungary and Russia were able to preserve “all that is good in the relationship” between the two countries, despite the “hard times” that the countries are currently going through, Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said yesterday in Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, Hungarian online daily 444.hu reported.

"Hungary will continue to be a good partner to Russia in global issues and in other issues as well," Orbán reportedly said.
Orbán visited the country on the occasion of the 2015 World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, and met Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Orbán noted that the championships event was “a good opportunity to meet and discuss current issues”.
Relations between Russia and Hungary have remained good despite existing conflicts with the European Union, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said after meeting, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
Medvedev said Hungary and Russia maintain cooperation in a number of areas including energy and agriculture, and "this is equally beneficial to our countries and nations".
