A Hungarian-British business council is to be established at the Hungarian Embassy in London, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó revealed at a Hungarian-British business forum in Budapest today, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
The council will coordinate and help the presence of Hungarian companies on the U.K. market and that of British companies on the Hungarian market, Szijjártó said.
Szijjártó noted that the Hungarian government strives to protect bilateral relations from any harm resulting from the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union. At the Brexit talks, Hungary will insist on maintaining unobstructed investment, trade and economic relations between the U.K. and the EU and will protect the interests of Hungarians working in Britain, the minister said.
