“It is difficult to say anything, the most important thing is that we express our condolences and solidarity for the French nation and the French president,” Orbán said at the beginning of his speech according to MTI.

Orbán noted that defence of Hungary has been elevated, which will be visible for citizens in the in transport junctions, railway stations and airports.

“This is accompanied by some inconveniences, therefore I ask people to be understanding and patient, as these measures are important for strengthening their safety,” the prime minister reportedly said this morning.

Commenting on the postponing of their congress, Orbán said that the party’s congress is always a celebration, and in such a situation one cannot celebrate, MTI reported.

Answering a question whether Hungary is at a terror threat, the prime minister said that “currently there are no data available, which would hint direct threat, but this can change any time. There is no absolute safe situation, we need to establish the biggest safety in the current circumstances.”

Hungaryʼs Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said: “I was deeply shocked by the brutal terror attack in Paris. Hungary is feeling for the French nation.”
