Hungarian, Kyrgyz foreign ministers discuss future partnerships

Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, met with his counterpart from Kyrgyzstan, Erlan Abdyldaev, in Budapest yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
The representatives spoke about an agreement for bilateral economic cooperation that is set to be signed in autumn, Szijjártó (pictured) said, according to MTI’s report.
The two also discussed the possibility of a pragmatic cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union, and said stronger ties between Hungary and Kyrgyzstan can lay the foundation for this cooperation, Szijjártó said.
The links between Hungary and Kyrgyzstan are already strong, and future economic cooperation must also be focused in this area, Abdyldaev added, according to MTI’s report.
