Hungarian, Bangladeshi PMs meet in Budapest
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met with his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina in Parliament Tuesday, the meeting being the first summit between the leaders of the two countries’ governments, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

Sheikh Hasina said after the meeting that there is ample opportunity for deepening commercial and investment ties between Bangladesh and Hungary. Bangladesh can also benefit from Hungaryʼs expertise in water management, she added.
Orbán noted that water management presents a serious challenge for Bangladesh, adding that Hungarian companies in the field already have a reputation in the country.
Declarations of intent on cooperation in the areas of water management, farming and foreign affairs were signed in the presence of the two prime ministers.
The Bangladeshi prime minister is in the Hungarian capital for the Budapest Water Summit 2016.
Speaking at a Hungarian-Bangladeshi business forum in Budapest later Tuesday, Orbán said Hungary is using new tools to support cooperation between companies from the two countries; Eximbank will open a USD 90 million credit line for this purpose, while the Hungarian government has offered scholarships for 100 Bangladeshi students to study in Hungary.
