EBRD Approves EUR 1 mln Loan to Albania's Union Bank to Back SMEs

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development said it has approved a EUR 1 million loan to Albania's Union Bank, aiming to support youth-led small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The financing will be used for on-lending to SMEs whose overall operational management responsibility or majority ownership is held by a person under the age of 35, the EBRD said in a project summary document.

The loan proceeds will be provided under the Western Balkans Youth in Business program.
