Hungarian oil and gas company MOL today raised the gross price of type 95 vehicle gas by HUF 6 per liter, while the cost of diesel was increased by HUF 2 per liter, according to reports.

With these increases, the average cost of gas is around HUF 323-324 per liter, and HUF 318-319 per liter for diesel, while consumers may experience a 15-25 forint difference in pricing among the various gas stations, according to reports.

Even with this uptick in cost, the price of gas is still relatively cheap in comparison to previous years, Hungarian news agency MTI reported. In April, 2012, gas was HUF 451 per liter, while diesel was HUF 449 in January of that same year.
