Varga holds talks on strengthening economic ties with Transylvania

Hungaryʼs National Economy Minister Mihály Varga held talks yesterday with Csaba Borboly, president of the Harghita county council and János László Henning, vice-president of the Covasna county council, on strengthening economic ties between Hungary and Transylvania, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

The parties discussed cooperating in the areas of vocational training, the use of European Union funds in border regions, supporting the spread of Transylvanian goods in Hungary and enterprise development.
Varga said that by strengthening the regionʼs economy the Hungarian government aims to help the local ethnic Hungarian minority in Transylvania continue to live in the place where they were born.
