Imports of used cars increased by 22% in Hungary in the first half of 2016 in a year-on-year comparison, and this could lead to a total larger than last year’s 122,600 vehicles, used car dealer DasWeltAuto said, according to a report published today by Hungarian news agency MTI.

Around 69,990 used cars were imported to Hungary in the first half of 2016, according to figures by Datahouse, DasWeltAuto told MTI.

Used light commercial vehicle imports were up 21%, reaching 7,149 in the period, MTI said.

Approximately 60% of imported vehicles in Hungary are over ten years old, MTI added.
