Telecommunications companies Digi and Vodafone successfully obtained licenses for frequencies in the 3,400-3,800MMz band, according to an announcement from Hungary’s National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) today, as reported by state news agency MTI.

Digi won a bid for 20MHz of spectrum in the 3,600-3,800Mhz band for HUF 248 million, while Vodafone was granted 60MHz of spectrum in the 3,400-3,600MHz band for HUF 649 mln, according to MTI.

This announcement came shortly after NMHH said it was preparing to offer new licenses in six frequency bands to mobile companies on May 26. The remaining license agreements will likely be announced soon.
