Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Hamburg on the sidelines of a meeting of the OSCE, Szijjártó told Hungarian news agency MTI by phone yesterday.

Szijjártó said that Hungarian-Russian economic cooperation has moved in a positive direction for the first time since the European Union adopted sanctions against Russia.

Szijjártó noted that official meetings between the Hungarian and the Russian foreign minister take place annually; the next is scheduled for January 23, when the Hungarian minister will visit Moscow.
