The revenue of some of the largest automotive industry suppliers in Szekszárd, southwestern Hungary, grew or was stable last year, company officials told Hungarian news agency MTI today.

The revenue of BHG-ASZ, which makes exhaust systems for Volkswagen, edged up about HUF 200 million to HUF 7.8 billion, said managing director Gábor Jobbágy. Costs fell in the fourth quarter on the back of lower oil prices, but BHG-ASZʼs suppliers raised their prices, he added.

The revenue of Swiss-owned Adval Tech, which makes air/water separation components for Audi and BMW, was little changed at around €25 mln, said managing director István Laczik. Production of plastic components expanded, while production of metal parts was scaled back, he added. Adval Tech employs 268 people at present.

German-owned Jurgenhake estimates that last yearʼs revenue was around HUF 1 bln, said managing director Szilvia Korsós. The company employs 320 people and turns out cable and electric systems for vehicles.

Jako, also German-owned, estimates that revenue rose over HUF 4 bln last year from HUF 3.97 bln in 2014, said financial manager János Villi. The company, which employs 362 people, supplies parts and electric motors to Stihl and Bosch as well as to automotive industry partners, he added.
