Survey: Hungary’s online retail sales up 16% in 2015

Hungary’s online retail sales reached HUF 270 billion in 2015, up 16% as compared to the preceding year, a joint survey by GKI Digital and arukereso.hu shows, according to reports.

Approximately 2.5 million Hungarians made online purchases throughout 2015. Online sale of electronic goods were around HUF 48 bln, the survey shows. 

The number of storefronts operating with Hungarian interfaces and offering prices in forints was approximately 4,200-4,500. The largest ten of these account for about 30% of total online turnover, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
