Investment Fund Subscription at HUF 451 bln

The net subscription of units of Hungarian investment funds reached HUF 451 billion in January, rising from HUF 412 bln in December, according to monthly data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on its website.

The net asset value of Hungarian investment funds reached HUF 18.703 trillion at the end of January. Price changes added HUF 118 bln to NAV, and exchange rate changes raised the value by HUF 33 bln during the month. 

The investment fund NAV was up from HUF 13.185 tln 12 months earlier. Fixed income funds had the biggest NAV (HUF 6.142 tln), followed by equities funds (HUF 4.614 tln), real estate funds (HUF 3.605 tln) and mixed funds (HUF 2.44 tln) at the end of the month. 

There were 880 investment funds under the oversight of the MNB in January, one more than the month before.
