Investment Fund Net Subscription Reaches HUF 411 bln in February

Net subscription of units of Hungarian investment funds reached HUF 411 bln in February, slipping from 451 bln in January, monthly data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) show.

Net asset value (NAV) of Hungarian investment funds reached HUF 19.34 tln at the end of February. Price changes added HUF 148 bln to NAV and exchange rate changes raised the value by HUF 79 bln during the month. Investment fund NAV was up from HUF 13.457 tln a year earlier.

Fixed income funds had the biggest NAV (HUF 6.388 tln), followed by equities funds (HUF 4.723 tln), real estate funds (HUF 3.675 tln), and mixed funds (HUF 2.559 tln) at the end of the month.

There were 883 investment funds under the oversight of MNB in February, three more than the month before.
