Richter rally lifts BUX

The Budapest Stock Exchangeʼs main BUX index finished the session on Friday up 1.33% at 27,011.72, rising on a rally by drugmaker Richter as other European indices were flat.

Richter climbed 4.23% to HUF 5,839 on turnover of HUF 4.1 bln or nearly half of the HUF 8.6 bln session total.

OTP Bank lost 1.92% to HUF 6,890 on turnover of HUF 2.3 bln.

Oil and gas company MOL rose 0.43% to HUF 16,330 on turnover of HUF 1.7 bln.

Magyar Telekom edged up 0.22% to HUF 459 on turnover of HUF 0.4 bln.

The bourseʼs mid-cap BUMIX index was up 0.33% at 1,771.83

Elsewhere in the region, Warsawʼs WIG 20 fell 0.54% and the Prague PX edged down 0.09%.

Western Europeʼs biggest indices were around break-even before the end of trade on Friday. Londonʼs FTSE 100 was down 0.02%, Frankfurtʼs DAX slid 0.01% and the CAC 40 in Paris dropped 0.15%.

On the week, the BUX rose 2.18%. OTP rose 0.58%, MOL fell 1.03%, Richter advanced 4.74% and MTel gained 2.91%.
