According to the report, vehicle gas prices are expected to stagnate around HUF 375 per liter, while diesel prices will fall to HUF 355-357 per liter. Last week, the price of Brent spot crude oil fluctuated between $53-$56, and the average weekly oil prices decreased by 2%.

Economic experts noted that the change may due to the fact that the number of crude oil drilling stations increased by five in the United States. The Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) claimed that the organization is not planning to decrease the oil drilling in order to stop the falling price of oil. As reported by the article, OPEC crude oil drilling reached historical numbers: 32 million barrels per day.

International news agency Reuters noted that in the Mediterranean market zones, the price of premium unleaded gasoline dropped by 1.2%, while diesel fell by 3.6% from July 27-31. In the North-Western-European and Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) zones, premium unleaded gasoline fell by 1.5-2.2%, while diesel dropped by 3.9-3.8 %. The weekly exchange rate of HUF to USD in the period of July 27-31 reached HUF 280.6.
