Report: Mandatory vehicle insurance could cover wild animal collisions

Initiatives

The Hungarian government is considering extending the mandatory vehicle insurance coverage for collisions with wild animals, László Jámbor, who heads national hunters association OMVK, told Hungarian daily Magyar Nemzet today.

According to the association head, the extension of the coverage could be written into the new hunting act which is expected to come into force next year. Currently, only one of Hungaryʼs big insurers offers a policy for collisions with wild animals, Hungarian news agency MTI said.
