MNB supervisory board holds inaugural meeting

The supervisory board of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) held its inaugural meeting and began its work, MNB said yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

Lawmakers voted in Parliament on July 6 to appoint Ferenc Papcsák as head of the supervisory board. Board members include László Madarász and Gábor András Szényei nominated by the pro-government parties, László Nyikos nominated by the opposition parties, and Attila Tóth Simon with Gábor Orbán nominated by the government.
