Minimum staff legislation could contain exemptions

Supermarkets running full-service meat or dairy counters are expected to be exempt from a minimum staff requirement the Hungarian government is planning to introduce, local daily Magyar Idők reported today.

It was reported on November 4 that the Hungarian government was expected to put forward legislation that would set a minimum staff requirement for stores over 400 sqm.

News reports said a day later that the legislation would apply only to supermarkets and other stores that sell fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
