MÁV buys electric multiple unit trains
Hungarian State Railways, MÁV-START Zrt., bought twenty-one electric multiple unit trains, which will provide transportation for passengers in the suburban areas of Budapest, the railway company announced in a press release today.
Last year, the government approved the tender to buy new trains to help develop the level of services offered by Hungarian State Railways.
According to the announcement, the winner of the tender is the Stadler Bussnang AG railway manufacturing company.
