Márton Nagy nominated for MNB deputy governor post

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán yesterday nominated Márton Nagy for the post of deputy governor of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB), the PM’s press chief Bertalan Havasi told Hungarian news agency MTI. 

The prime minister has informed Speaker of Parliament László Kövér of the proposal in a letter, MTI said, adding that the deputy governor of the MNB is appointed by the President based on the prime ministerʼs proposal

It was reported on Monday that National Bank of Hungary (MNB) Deputy Governor Ádám Balog is resigning from his position at the central bank and will continue his career at Hungarian state-owned MKB Bank as chairman-CEO as of July 22.
