KSH: Hungary’s PPI up 1.5% in June

Hungary’s industrial producer prices saw a year-on-year rise of 1.5% in June, with domestic prices falling 1.1% and exports prices growing 2.9%, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said today in a report.

KSH said that domestic industrial sales prices decreased by 1.1%, while prices in manufacturing fell by 0.5% and prices in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply, representing significant weight, by 2.5%.

In domestic sales, out of the end-use groups of the producer branches of industry, prices decreased in energy and intermediate (1.7%) and consumer goods producer branches (0.2%), and were up in capital goods producer branches (1.6%), KSH said.

Industrial export sales prices were up by 2.9% and manufacturing prices within these by 3.1% on average, while prices in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply fell by 1.8%, KSH added.

In a month-on-month comparison, producer prices rose 1.3% as domestic prices were up 0.5% and export prices increased 1.8%.

In the first half of the year, producer prices fell 1.0% as domestic prices dropped 3.1% and export prices inched up 0.2%.
