KSH: Hungary’s agricultural producer prices drop 6.2% in June
Agricultural producer prices in Hungary saw a year-on-year drop of 6.2% in June, with the price of crops falling 3.6% and the price of livestock and animal products down 10.4%, Hungaryʼs Central Statistical Office said today in a first reading data.
KSH data reveal that grain prices fell by 13.4% and those of fresh vegetables by 2.1%, prices of potatoes were up 30%, which KSH explains is caused by new potatoes entering the market.
The prices of fresh fruits rose 16.1%, and the price index of the product group was determined by the 15% rise in price of sour cherries, typically sold during this period, while the producer price level of live animals declined 7.8% and that of animal products dropped 15.8%, KSH said.
