The Indian embassy in Budapest hosted an event designed to draw Hungarian investors to the country yesterday. India would welcome Hungarian investments, primarily in the areas of water treatment, waste management and infrastructure development, participants were told at the event, held as part of "Make in India", an investment promotion initiative.

Cooperation between Hungary and India was highlighted in the pharmaceutical and automotive parts industry at the whole-day event. Alkaloida, a unit of Indian-owned ICN Magyarország, is Hungary's sole maker of morphine. India's Apollo Tyres recently said it would build a HUF 146 bln plant in Hungary.
