Hungary’s GDP grew 3.1% in 2015, KSH says

Hungaryʼs GDP at current prices was HUF 33.999 trillion in 2015 with 4.9% growth, and up by 3.1% at constant prices compared to the previous year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said Friday in a second preliminary reading of national accounts data compiled in line with the ESA 2010 methodology, news agency MTI reported.

The amount of GDP per capita was HUF 3.454 million, corresponding to EUR 19,665 in purchasing power standard.  

The deficit of the general government sector was HUF 533.9 bln in 2015, 1.6% of GDP according to the preliminary data of national accounts.

The debt of the general government sector based on data of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) was HUF 25.402 tln, 74.7% of GDP at the end of 2015.
