The company said that the 310 hp TFSI EVO engine is expected to be built into an Audi A7 in Neckarsulm, MTI added.

The Hungarian unit of the company launched the production of six-cylinder engines in 1997, and currently approximately 650 employees turn out a total of 700 engines on a daily basis, MTI added.

Last year, Audi Hungaria produced about two million engines at its plant in Győr, northwestern Hungary, with six-cylinder engines accounting for 453,000 of the total.
