Hungary, Kyrgyzstan agree on economic cooperation
Hungarian and Kyrgyz officials yesterday reached an agreement to develop economic cooperation in the areas of pharmaceuticals, healthcare products and equipment, environmental protection and water management, and energy infrastructure, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said.

Hungary and Kyrgyzstan is expected to reach an agreement this year on establishing a joint economic committee and signing an investment protection pact, Szijjártó said, according to Hungarian news agency MTI. The Hungarian Eximbank could open a $27.7 million credit line to support cooperation between Hungarian and Kyrgyz business partners, he added.
Szijjártó yesterday met with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev, First Deputy Prime Minister Muhametkalyi Abulgaziev, his Kyrgyz counterpart, Erlan Abdyldaev, Health Minister Talantbek Batyraliev, Economy Minister Arzybek Kozhoshev and deputy parliamentary speaker Altynay Omurbekova, MTI reported.
