Hungary, Croatia reopen railway border crossings
Hungaryʼs interior minister Sándor Pintér and his Croatian counterpart Vlaho Orepic announced yesterday that the three railway border crossings between the two countries would be reopened today, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

The three crossings – Murakeresztúr-Kotoriba, Gyékényes-Koprivnica and Magyarbóly-Beli Manastir – were closed at the height of the refugee crisis in mid-October of last year.
The two interior ministers said that the move is a sign of improved bilateral relations.
Cooperation could continue in the areas of tourism and mine sweeping, Orepic said.
Pintér said that the talks helped to sort out controversies, noting that earlier cooperation, including Hungarian policemen patrolling resorts on the Adriatic or joint border patrolling or cooperation in combating crime, was interrupted by the “migrant crisis”, MTI reported.
