Hungarian trucker makes video of running migrants off road, is reported to police

A Hungarian truck driver, who gained media attention for his video in which he scared refugees off the highway with his truck near Calais, has been reported to the police by a private citizen, Istvány Tényi, Hungarian online daily origo.hu reported on Sunday.

Tényi filed a complaint with the Hungarian Police against an unknown person for reckless driving and endangerment.

A video uploaded to video-sharing site Youtube shows the view from the truckʼs driver seat, with the driver verbally insulting refugees as they walk along the highway near Calais. At the fifth minute, the video shows how the Hungarian driver steers the truck towards the refugees walking along the shoulder, making them jump off the road to avoid being hit.
