The figure represents the highest number ever of Hungarian tourists visiting the Adriatic country based on data collected over the last 20 years, MTI reported.

As compared to the previous year, the number of visitors grew by 16.8% in 2015 and in terms of nights spent, the growth was 15.5%, according to Marin Skenderovic, head of the Croatian National Tourist Office in Budapest.

This increase helped solidify Hungary’s spot in the top ten number of visitors to Croatia. Currently, Hungary ranks 9th based on number of tourists, and 10th for number of nights spent. Out of the top ten countries, Hungary showed the highest increase percentage wise in both categories, according to data cited by MTI.
